Everett Taasevigen was born in Redwood City, California. He first picked up a Kodak 110 film camera when he was 13 years old, beginning a lifelong interest in photography. Everett is interested in documenting the traces of time, and in reminding us of the fleeting moments of beauty all around us everyday. Whether it's creating portraits of artists, musicians and drag queens; or photographing landscapes and seascapes, storms and storm clouds, or documenting how long it takes to find one-hundred dollars in found street money.
Taasevigen served as the chief photographer for Zer01 Biennial, San Jose, California 2006, 2008, 2010. He has photographed for Survival Research Labs, Childrens Museum of Houston, New Tech Global, Sugar Hill Recording Studio, Glasstire, Stan & Lou Advertising, PaperCity Magazine (Houston), Intuitive Eye, Acme Fish Advertising, Ell Advertising, Idea Advertising, AVP Marketing + Creative, Bird House Productions, The Art Guys, The Menil, The Museum of Fine Art Houston, and The Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau.
